Rejected or Set Apart?

Rejected or Set Apart.

Elsa Cronje, Transformation Coach from Take A Leap Coaching, shares how our definitions lead to rejection.

Rejection is one of the most common things that Yahweh’s children need to overcome. Why do I say this? Well, when you choose to not be like the world, not conform to its customs and to renew your mind, you are bound to be rejected by the world.

Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you, but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes. (Romans 12:2 — TPT)

The conditioning behind definitions lead us to believe that there is, in fact, a certain specific way that we ought to be, to live, to behave. Our minds are unable to allow the Holy Spirit to operate if we have SET definitions. Why? Your unconscious mind only allows you to see, hear and experience what you believe to be true. If you have definitions, therefore, that directly contradict Abba Father’s promises, you will remove the chance to experience His blessings and promises.

When we are constantly aware of our thoughts, we are able to take them captive and make them obedient to the Will of God.

We can demolish every deceptive fantasy that opposes God and break through every arrogant attitude that is raised up in defiance of the true knowledge of God. We capture, like prisoners of war, every thought and insist that it bow in obedience to the Anointed One. (2 Corinthians 10:5 — TPT)

What causes that we, as the children of Yahweh, experience rejection? Aren’t we supposed to be free from such worldly emotions?

I did not have the answer to that until I experienced rejection not too long ago. I was surprised to experience rejection after I already dealt with it so many times in the past. The footnote in The Passion Translation Bible of Psalm 23 explains why it sometimes feel that we find ourselves in the same struggles when we are actually moving up the mountain in circular pathways.

Let me share with you what happened. I was attending a family lunch and, to my surprise, I was excluded from the conversation. I was able to feel my emotions strike my heart and I realized then and there that my prayer for removing wounds, is being answered. Wounds cause emotions and keep pain controlling our thoughts, beliefs and behaviour. I asked Abba to heal wounds that He sees still need healing. Now, it makes me rejoice in circumstances that grant the opportunity for healing. Why the opportunity? We still have a choice to allow the circumstances to reveal the wound and then let go what we need to let go and allow Abba to do His healing.
