Exit the Triangle – Part 1
Part 1 – Exit the Triangle
I love how Abba Father lets everything work together to bring us to a specific space to teach us. As I was busy with content for a project, He brought to my attention to The Drama Triangle by Stephen Karpman; also known as The Victim Triangle by Lynne Forrest. I knew this triangle existed, but never really paid attention to it. When Abba brought it to my attention for the third time, it was clearly time to explore it.
While I was reading through the article, The Three Faces of Victim — An Overview of the Victim Triangle by Lynne Forrest, I realized that South Africa is caught up in this triangle. People are living their lives through this triangle. Then, it hit me — the only way to rebuild our country is if every single person exits this triangle.
Why do we need to exit it?
For love completes the laws of God. All of the law can be summarized in one grand statement: “Demonstrate love to your neighbor, even as you care for and love yourself.” But if you continue to criticize and come against each other over minor issues, you’re acting like wild beasts trying to destroy one another! (Galatians 5:14-15)
When operating in the triangle, love is destroyed. What are we without love? Wild beasts trying to destroy one another.
